Energy Northwest strongly supports and encourages conservation. It is undeniably the cleanest, fastest, cheapest and best way to offset new power demand. However, the agency believes additional resources beyond conservation will be needed at some point, and those should be a diverse mix of clean energy resources.

Every source of energy available today has its own impacts. The responsibility of energy producers as well as policy makers is to recognize those impacts and understand the resources available that provides reliable, affordable and environmentally responsible power.
