Energy Northwest completes US-12 electric vehicle charging project

News Release

Newest station operational in White Pass

RICHLAND, Wash. – Energy Northwest successfully completed its White Pass US-12 Electric Vehicle (EV) Charging Installation Project last month. The final charging station, located at White Pass Ski Resort, is now fully operational, marking the culmination of this significant project aimed at enhancing EV infrastructure along the scenic White Pass corridor.

The project was a collaboration among Energy Northwest, Lewis County PUD and Twin Transit, with support from White Pass Scenic Byway organization, Benton REA and surrounding community members.

This milestone is the latest achievement in Energy Northwest's commitment to advancing clean transportation options across Washington. The White Pass Ski Resort station, along with the previously completed installations in the network, will provide EV drivers with reliable and convenient charging opportunities.

The White Pass US-12 EV Charging Project offers a network of charging stations strategically positioned to serve both local residents and those traveling across Washington state. These stations, equipped with fast-charging technology, are designed to reduce charging time, enhancing the overall user experience, and promote the adoption of electric vehicles.

Energy Northwest, a Washington state joint operating agency, remains dedicated to innovation, sustainability and environmental stewardship as it continues to lead the way in clean energy transformation. The agency owns and operates a portfolio of clean energy projects including hydroelectric, solar, wind, battery storage and nuclear energy facilities.

“We're grateful to the local communities, partners, and all stakeholders involved in making this project a success," said Tanya Dion, Energy Northwest project developer.
