Marcus Harris

Vice President for Executive Projects

Marcus Harris joined the Energy Northwest team in January 2025 as the Chief of Executive Projects. In this pivotal role, he is responsible for driving key initiatives aligned with the agency's 2030 Strategic Plan, including nuclear development, extended power uprate (EPU) and subsequent license renewal (SLR). His leadership is essential as Energy Northwest works to meet the region's growing energy needs and supports Washington state's goal of achieving 100% carbon-free electricity by 2045.

With over 20 years of experience in financial strategy and operational excellence, Marcus brings a wealth of knowledge to Energy Northwest from his previous positions as the Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer at the Bonneville Power Administration (BPA) and Deputy Chief Operating Officer at BPA. While at BPA, he successfully developed the agency's first comprehensive financial plan, which improved credit ratings, fortified financial reserves, reduced financial leverage, and delivered substantial long-term savings for customers.

Marcus has a doctorate in systems science from Portland State University, a Master of Business Administration, summa cum laude, from Willamette University and a Bachelor of Arts in business administration from Vanguard University.
