Grover Hettel

​​​​​​​​Grover Hettel was named chief nuclear officer in August 2018 after serving as vice president for Operations.  He has more than 38 years of industry experience with a diverse background in Operations, Engineering and Maintenance. 

Prior to joining Energy Northwest, Grover served as Operations director and plant general manager at Palo Verde Nuclear Generating Station.  Grover also worked as Maintenance manager and plant general manager at Palisades Nuclear Power Plant, and held progressive leadership positions at Arkansas Nuclear One, where he held a senior reactor operators license.  He also worked at two gas turbine electric generating plants with one being the Saltend Cogeneration Power Plant in Hull, England.  Grover initially worked construction and commissioning at Riverbend Nuclear Station. South Texas Nuclear Project, and Turkey Point Nuclear Plant. 

Grover holds a bachelor’s degree in engineering from Arkansas Tech University, and a master’s degree in business administration from the University of Arkansas at Little Rock.  He is also a registered professional engineer in the state of Arkansas.  Grover completed the Harvard Business School Advanced Management Program.
