Gregg King

Gregg King is the Power Resource Manager/Utilities Business Manager for the City of Port Angeles. Gregg’s responsibilities encompass administration of contracts, monitoring power purchases, conduct complex studies and analysis of the City’s various utilities, and oversees the City’s energy conservation programs. Gregg was appointed to the Energy Northwest Board in 2023.

Gregg received his bachelor’s in accounting and finance from the University of Idaho and passed his CPA exam soon after. Gregg spent 25 years in a variety of accounting and finance positions in various companies around the world including FedEx located in Dubai, United Arab Emirates and ConAgra Malt with its world headquarters in Vancouver, WA. It was while working as the Director of Administrative Services and Finance for the Northwest Public Power Association (NWPPA), a trade association for public electric utilities, that he decided to change careers and work in the electric utility industry and has not looked back. 

Gregg lives in the Port Angeles area with his wife, two children and three cats. He spends his free time training and running half-marathon races, reading, and performing with the banjo in various bands around the Pacific Northwest.​
