Public Power Forum

Working Together for a Clean Energy Future

Over 200 people from more than five dozen organizations came together to learn about the clean energy future during Energy Northwest's 26th annual Public Power Forum Oct. 26.

The annual event brings together public utilities and regional energy businesses. This year's event was themed “Working together for a clean energy future," and leaned on Energy Northwest's role as a joint operating agency dedicated to serving the needs of our member utilities and the region.

Breakout sessions covered topics such as grant applications, electric vehicle adoption, the evolving workforce, the clean energy supply chain, and public power needs and solutions. Greg Cullen, vice president for Energy Services & Development, updated attendees on Energy Northwest's efforts to build an advanced nuclear facility in Washington state. Niko McMurray, managing director for public policy at ClearPath, gave the keynote presentation about the power of partnerships in furthering clean energy.
