Energy Northwest employees have once again raised over $80,000 in support of United Way of Benton & Franklin Counties, continuing a long-standing commitment to building a stronger, brighter future for the community. Through payroll pledges, direct donations, an online auction, and lunchtime events employees came together to make a meaningful difference and a local impact.
United Way's programs and initiatives provide for the well-being, safety and academic success of our community's children. This year, Energy Northwest employees sponsored United Way's Attendance Matters Program, which provides resources to encourage regular school attendance and mentoring with AmeriCorps volunteers. Employees donated games, snacks, and STEAM-related activities to help local students stay engaged and excited about learning. The team also donated more than $2,500 for the program to buy much-needed supplies.
Energy Northwest has supported United Way for many decades. Each October, a committee of employee volunteers organizes a monthlong campaign to raise donations. This year, the committee will keep the excitement going with a holiday bake sale and year-round lunch fundraisers. We are proud to serve our community and support United Way all year long.
