Commissioner, Benton County PUD
Lori Sanders became a Benton County Public Utility
District commissioner in January 2005. She was appointed to the Energy
Northwest Board of Directors in January 2005 and was elected secretary in
January 2007 to January 2011. In April 2010 she was elected to the Energy
Northwest Executive Board and appointed secretary of the executive board in
January 2013, a position she still holds. She is currently serving her second
four-year term on the executive board.
Commissioner Sanders is the owner
and president of Energy Incentives Inc., a consulting firm on conservation and
renewables. Energy Incentives received a national award from the Environmental
Protection Agency for "Energy Star Partner of the Year" in 2016.
A Kennewick, Wash., native, she brings 25
years of experience as a successful small business owner to her post on the
Commissioner Sanders, her husband, Scott, and
family reside in Kennewick.
