Dennis Bolz took office in 2007 as a Chelan County Public Utility District commissioner. He was appointed to the Energy Northwest Board of Directors in January 2017. 

Mr. Bolz was part of public education for more than 31 years where he was a teacher, assistant principal, principal, coach, athletic director, central office administrator and superintendent.  He became recognized as an educator at the international level with work in the former Soviet Union, Honduras and Canada. 

During his professional years Mr. Bolz sat on many committees, boards and policy groups.  He had the opportunity to guide hundreds of employees, establish relationships with unions, develop and manage multi million dollar budgets and direct public policy.  

Upon retirement from public schools, Commissioner Bolz took the position of director of the northwest region for The Flippen Group, a Texas organization doing business as an educational leadership and human relations consulting company.  

For the next five years he directed operations in the northwest, consulted nationally and coordinated sales regionally. At the end of December 2005 he retired for the second time to work to develop a new business venture in the greater Wenatchee area.

He and his wife Joycelyn have three adult sons and are very proud of their sons, their son’s wives and their five grandchildren.
