Angela Smith is the Public Affairs Manager/Chief Communication Officer. She joined Energy Northwest in January 2008. In her current position she is responsible for the oversight of the agency’s strategic planning process; internal and external communication strategy, including educational outreach and community engagement efforts; media relations; government affairs; board relations; and visual/creative services.  

Prior to her current role, Angela held multiple positions at Energy Northwest, including marketing, board relations, external communication, and strategic planning & risk management.

Before joining Energy Northwest, Smith worked as the Director of Market Strategy for an innovation strategy consulting company with strong roots in research and strategy. She managed the development of business and market strategies for clients ranging from start-ups to Fortune 100s. 

Angela has a bachelor’s degree with a double major in Marketing and Management Information Systems.

Jason is the senior director for External Strategy and New Nuclear Development. He advises EN and project partners on external affairs strategy and consults with entities across the country on energy, climate and environmental policy. Jason is co-founder of Clean Future Northwest, co-chair of the Mid-Columbia Energy Initiative Nuclear Energy Subcommittee, and is a member of the Nuclear Innovation Alliance Advisory Committee and Nuclear Matters Steering Committee. Prior to joining EN, Jason spent a decade working in the U.S. House of Representatives, consulting on energy and environmental policy, and advising political campaigns. In Congress, he advised members on numerous policy issues and held several senior staff positions.

Kelly Rae is a Public Affairs Specialist and external communications program manager. She is responsible for community relations and outreach, media relations, marketing and research, sponsorships, event planning, advertising and social media.

Kelly worked at Energy Northwest from 2009 to 2014 and rejoined the agency in 2018. 

Kelly earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communication from Washington State University.

Susan Fillafer is the Board Relations Lead. She is responsible for all board relations functions for the executive board, board of directors and Columbia participants review board in coordination with board chairs, senior leadership and Public Affairs management. Prior to joining EN, Susan spent more than a decade in community relations and served as the director for a local non-profit.

Susan earned a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration and Marketing from the University of Tennessee. She is a graduate of Leadership Tri-Cities class XVIII – “The best class ever.”

Josh Lozano

Josh Lozano is the Senior Government and External Affairs Specialist. His responsibilities include developing the agency’s state and federal legislative policy and strategy in coordination with the executive board, senior leadership, and the chief communication officer. Additional responsibilities include serving as PA’s business-to-business lead and providing key support for CEO engagements.

Prior joining the EN team, Josh served as a Deputy District Director in the U.S. House of Representatives where he worked with local and regional stakeholders to promote the interest of Central Washington on behalf of his member. 

Josh holds an Associate in Arts and Science from Columbia Basin College, a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Washington State University and is completing his master’s degree in Strategic Communication through Washington State University’s Global Campus.

Anna Markham-Will

Anna Markham is the Public Affairs Supervisor. She is primarily responsible for the agency’s employee communication program.

Anna served nearly eight years as a journalist in the U.S. Navy. She was an editor for the base newspaper at Naval Air Facility in Atsugi, Japan and a radio and television host for American Forces Network in La Maddalena, Italy.

She has supported internal and external communications for more than 20 years and has been involved in nuclear communications for almost 15 years.

Senior Communications Specialist/Editor

​Savannah Tranchell is the senior communications specialist and editor, overseeing internal communications and the agency’s weekly newsletter.

Savannah came to th​e energy industry after five years working in higher education marketing and communications and a decade in journalism as a writer and copy editor. She has received multiple awards for her writing, including recognition from the Idaho Press Club and the C.B. Blethen Memorial Award for feature writing.

She has a bachelor’s in journalism from the University of Idaho and a master’s in journalism from South Dakota State University.​​​

Ben Stewart is a Public Affairs specialist with a background in graphic design. He has worked at Energy Northwest since 2008, focusing on internal and external communications, and video production.

Prior to joining Energy Northwest, Ben worked for a magazine publishing company.

He holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Graphic Design from Central Washington University.​​

Cameron Kaseberg is a Public Affairs Specialist with a focus on graphic design, photography and social media. He helps departments and organizations across the company share information, images and messaging in a clear, concise and professional manner.

He left high school early to study photography, art and pursue his degree in graphic design. Upon graduation, Cameron had already established Kaseberg Design and began working for a major tradeshow and exhibit design/build firm in Portland, Oregon. He worked as a graphic production artist and designer before moving to a national exhibit company as an exhibit designer.

With his foot always in the world of graphic design and photography, Cameron considers his position with Energy Northwest a natural progression.
