Marcus Harris is the senior vice president and chief financial officer for Energy Northwest, leading the agency’s financial strategy, planning and major strategic initiatives. He joined Energy Northwest in January 2025 as the chief of executive projects and most recently was chief administrative officer overseeing Information Services, Facilities, Human Resources and Organizational Effectiveness.
With over 20 years of experience in financial strategy and operational excellence, Marcus brings a wealth of knowledge to Energy Northwest from his previous positions as the Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer at the Bonneville Power Administration (BPA) and Deputy Chief Operating Officer at BPA. While at BPA, he successfully developed the agency's first comprehensive financial plan, which improved credit ratings, fortified financial reserves, reduced financial leverage, and delivered substantial long-term savings for customers.
Marcus has a doctorate in systems science from Portland State University, a Master of Business Administration, summa cum laude, from Willamette University, and a Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration from Vanguard University Marcus also holds certificates from the Reactor Technology Course at MIT and a senior reactor operator management certificate from Energy Northwest.
