Workforce Development Program

Our Public Power Internship Program connects students with real-world experience in the public power industry through meaningful, hands-on internships. Developed by Energy Northwest and partner utilities, the program helps build a strong, diverse workforce to meet the growing needs of public utilities across the Pacific Northwest.

Electric Vehicle Infrastructure

Since 2016, Energy Northwest has been a leader in the electric transportation infrastructure, developing a network of electric vehicle (EV) charging stations along Washington state highway corridors to aid in the adoption of zero-emission EVs.

Energy Northwest has proudly been awarded millions of dollars in grants to support the development and installation of EV charging stations.

Public Power Funding Program

Energy Northwest’s Public Power Funding Program helps utilities and partner organizations leverage state, federal, and private funding to plan, build, and expand energy projects that deliver real community impact. By filling resource gaps with grant research, writing, and coordination, and by uniting multiple partners around collaborative projects, the program strengthens applications, simplifies the grant process, and improves funding success—supporting clean energy initiatives, modernization efforts, and infrastructure improvements for organizations of all sizes.
