Description
The Nine Canyon Wind Project is located in south-central Washington just south of Kennewick. Constructed in three phases between 2002 and 2007, the project includes 63 wind turbines with a maximum generating potential of 95.9 megawatts of electricity. Owned and operated by Energy Northwest, the parent company of Energy Northwest Standards Laboratory (ENSL), the project provides reliable, affordable, environmentally responsible power to residents of the Pacific Northwest. The continued success of the project relies on the calibration services provided by ENSL to ensure measuring and test equipment (M&TE) produce accurate results during maintenance and operation activities.
