Visitors entering Columbia Generating Station's radiologically controlled area should be aware of clothing guidelines. Natural-fiber clothing such as 100% cotton, wool, or denim are preferred. Polyester, rayon, acrylic, nylon, corduroy, and other synthetic materials and blends should not be worn inside Columbia.
For safety reasons, clothing should be free of rips, tears, and fringe. Shoes should have leather uppers and cover the toes. Heels, open-toed shoes, sneakers, or sandals are not appropriate inside Columbia.
Other visitors should dress appropriately for a corporate work environment. Clothing that advertises alcohol, tobacco, or drugs or that contains obscene, profane, discriminatory, provocative, or inflammatory words or pictures, or that contains threatening language or promotes violence, is not appropriate.
