All visitors to Columbia Generating Station must read and adhere to the following:
All visitors must be pre-authorized. To enter Columbia Generating Station's protected area, visitors must have valid picture identification. For U.S. citizens, a valid driver’s license or passport are acceptable form of identification. All foreign nationals must be pre-authorized and have a valid passport with them.
Visitors entering Columbia Generating Station's radiologically controlled area should be aware of clothing guidelines. Natural-fiber clothing such as 100% cotton, wool, or denim are preferred. Polyester, rayon, acrylic, nylon, corduroy, and other synthetic materials and blends should not be worn inside Columbia.
For safety reasons, clothing should be free of rips, tears, and fringe. Shoes should have leather uppers and cover the toes. Heels, open-toed shoes, sneakers, or sandals are not appropriate inside Columbia.
Other visitors should dress appropriately for a corporate work environment. Clothing that advertises alcohol, tobacco, or drugs or that contains obscene, profane, discriminatory, provocative, or inflammatory words or pictures, or that contains threatening language or promotes violence, is not appropriate.
For entering Columbia Generating Station's radiological area, leather uppers or shoes constructed of sturdy materials are required. Tennis shoes, high heels, sandals and open-toed shoes or open heels are not allowed, except for in Energy Northwest office areas.
Cameras and cell phones are allowed at all Energy Northwest projects, with the exception of Columbia Generating Station’s protected area due to heightened security and sensitive equipment. Phones may be left in your vehicle, at your workstation, or with your escort if you need to enter protected areas.
Certain items are prohibited on all Energy Northwest property and are a misdemeanor under Benton County Ordinance #225, which includes the parking lots and vehicles in those lots. Prohibited items include firearms, ammunition, explosive devices, incendiary devices, self-defense sprays (such as mace), alcoholic beverages, street drugs, and non-prescription controlled drugs.
Prescription drugs and over-the-counter medications are allowed.
Pets, except for service dogs, are not allowed.
Use of tobacco products is allowed only in designated areas.
