Grover Hettel joined Energy Northwest as vice president of Operations on March 19, 2012.
Mr. Hettel is a 30-year industry veteran with a diverse background in Operations, Engineering and Maintenance.
Prior to joining Energy Northwest, Mr. Hettel served as Operations director at Palo Verde Nuclear Generating Station, where he had been in that position from 2008 to 2011 and was plant general manager for the last year.
Prior to working at Palo Verde, Mr. Hettel was acting general manager of Plant Operations at Turkey Point Nuclear Generating Station. He also served as Maintenance manager while at Turkey Point. Additional experience includes general manager of Plant Operations and Maintenance manager at Palisades Power Plant, and the instrument and control superintendent, a System Engineering supervisor and a control room supervisor at Entergy’s Arkansas Nuclear One where he held a Senior Reactor Operators License.
Mr. Hettel holds a bachelor’s degree in engineering from Arkansas Tech University, and a master’s degree in business administration from the University of Arkansas at Little Rock. He is also a Registered Professional Engineer in the State of Arkansas.
