Dave Remington was appointed to the Energy Northwest Executive Board by Gov. Gary Locke in December 2004 and re-appointed by Gov. Christine Gregoire in 2009. Currently he is chair of the Compensation Subcommittee.
Mr. Remington is retired from his position as senior vice president and chief financial officer of Itron Inc. in Spokane. The public company provides hardware and software systems used to optimize the delivery and use of electricity, natural gas and water by both utilities and customers. Mr. Remington was responsible for accounting, tax, finance, and mergers and acquisitions transactions for the company.
He has more than 35 years experience in corporate finance, treasury and investment banking services, including eight years as a managing director at Dean Witter Reynolds. At Dean Witter Reynolds, Mr. Remington specialized in private debt and equity transactions, including project financings. Before that, he was president of Steiner Financial Corp. During his 10 years there he also held positions as executive vice president and vice president of finance.
Mr. Remington also serves on the board of a non-profit organization establishing a science center in eastern Washington and an angel fund. He served as an Army Reserve officer, and holds a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering from the University of California, Berkeley and a master’s degree from the Harvard Business School.
