Buz Ketcham was twice elected to the Cowlitz County Public Utility District 1 Board of Commissioners; first in 2002 and again in 2008. He also represents the commission on the White Creek Wind Project and Harvest Wind Farm development. Mr. Ketcham serves as an alternate to the executive board of the Public Power Council. When Cowlitz PUD re-joined Energy Northwest in 2006, Mr. Ketcham was appointed by the commission to serve as its representative on the board of directors.

Mr. Ketcham is vice president and principal of Brown & Kysar Inc. a consulting engineering firm specializing in serving the needs of public electric utilities. Prior to his current position, Mr. Ketcham was supervisor of engineering for the Longview Fibre Company; a pulp, paper, paperboard and converting manufacturer.

He graduated in 1974 with a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering from Washington State University, with undergraduate studies in nuclear engineering at WSU and graduate study in business administration from Portland State University. He is a registered professional engineer in both Washington and Oregon.

Mr. Ketcham is a member and past president of the Longview Rotary Club.

He and his wife, Wanda, reside in Kalama, Wash.
