Ann Congdon was elected Chelan Public Utility District commissioner, representing District 3, in November 2004, and was re-elected in November 2010 to a second six-year term. In January 2007, she was appointed to the Energy Northwest Board of Directors and was elected president of the board in January 2011 through June 2013. She also serves on the Water and Educational Development Committees for the Washington Public Utility District Association.

Ms. Congdon is a retired Chelan High School teacher. She holds a bachelor’s degree in biology from the University of Washington and a master’s degree in biological sciences from Central Washington University.

Ms. Congdon has long been active in community affairs, having served on the Chelan City Council from 1979 to 1981, as well as on the Lake Chelan Ski Club Board of Directors, the Lake Chelan Water Quality Task Force, the Beebe Springs/Washington Department of Fish and Wildlife working group and as an Amateur Athletic Union coach for many years. Ms. Congdon currently serves as secretary of the board of directors for Mission Vista, a non-profit organization that serves the needs of disabled adults in the region.

She resides in Manson, Wash.
