Laura, our concerns are the fish and water quality
issues and an awareness of our history in the region. At any point in work on
the project human remains and culturally important items could be uncovered.
Indeed,natural events could uncover
these at any time. We know that at the Packwood FS Ranger Station there is a site 7000 years
old. It is unlikely that site is alone.
We would like to be informed immediately if any remains or artifacts are
recovered. If a discovery occurs then it should be investigated professionally.Indeed
have any such items been discovered? Thanks, Mike Iyall
